What we do
We do everything from adding a new data socket in a classroom, to
improving network speeds, through to providing networks in new
buildings. We understand the challenges of working in schools and are
very adept at ensuring that there is no disruption to learning while
work is carried out.

We work to BECTA's
standards
All our work meets the standards set-out in BECTA's Technical
Specification for Institutional Infrastructure. We share BECTA's view,
which is that a well designed and maintained infrastructure is key to an
institution's ability to deliver a highly effective ICT resource to the
learner, educator and administrator.

We test and certify our
work
Whether we are adding a single data-point or a whole ICT suite,
we test and certify every connection to TIA/EIA-568-B. The tests are
much more thorough than basic cable tests, and include tests for
wire-map, propagation delay, delay skew, cable length, attenuation,
near-end crosstalk, equal-level far-end crosstalk and speed. We also conduct
'real-world' tests as a further validation. This enables us to guarantee
that an installation is capable of handling the applications for which
it is intended.

What does it cost?
Over half our business is education-based, so we are fully aware
of the constraints upon school-budgets. For cabling work, there are many
factors that will affect cost (both positively and negatively), and it
is part of our role to identify ways of achieving what you require for the
minimum investment.

Why use TAS?
We adopt a very open approach in everything we do, our mission
being to develop long-term trusted relationships with each of our
schools. Our job is to understand the problem you wish to resolve, and
then to fully resolve it with minimum distraction to you and other
learners, educators and support staff.
