CCTV and the law
CCTV intrudes on peoples privacy, which is why the Information
Commissioner's Office has written a code of practice specifically for
CCTV. Your system must be installed, implemented and used within the
requirements of the Data Protection Act, the Security Industry Act and
the Human Rights Act.
There are very specific requirements of a system and its administration
to ensure that access to live and recorded images is restricted both for
the protection of those being monitored and for the preservation of
evidence for use in a prosecution.
We have a comprehensive understanding of your legal
obligations under the DPA, SIA, the need for a for a Privacy Impact Assessment,
and we have a thorough understanding of network security.
